Cheong Wa Dae

Presidential compound in Seoul, known as the "Blue House" for its blue roof tiles.

Located at the foot of Mount Bugak north of Gyeongbokgung Palace, it served for decades as the seat of South Korea's presidents. In 2022 President Yoon moved the office to Yongsan and opened the grounds to visitors; under Lee Jae-myung the presidential office returned to Cheong Wa Dae.
