Municipality and residential district in eastern Athens at the foot of Mount Hymettus.
Kaisariani grew in the 1920s as a settlement for refugees from Asia Minor and was long regarded as a working-class, affordable neighbourhood. The Byzantine Kaisariani Monastery lies on the slopes of Hymettus.
