Mashujaa Day
Kenyan national holiday on 20 October honouring the heroes of the independence struggle.
"Mashujaa" is Swahili for "heroes". Under the 2010 constitution the holiday replaced the former Kenyatta Day and commemorates all who contributed to Kenya's independence.
