Vedado is a central district of Havana in the Plaza de la Revolución municipality.
Laid out on a grid, the neighbourhood developed mainly in the first half of the 20th century. It is home to the Hotel Nacional, the University of Havana, the Coppelia ice-cream parlour and the Colón Cemetery, among others.
