Western Sydney International

Sydney's second major airport at Badgerys Creek, opened in October 2026 with no night curfew.

The airport lies about 45 kilometres west of the city centre and also bears the name of aviation pioneer Nancy-Bird Walton. It was built by the federal government for around 5.6 billion Australian dollars; a metro line from St Marys is under construction.
